Agd - Februar2018

Research in the Dielmann group is centered in the area of molecular main group chemistry and homogeneous catalysis. With regard to sustainability in chemistry, our research activities are focused on the activation of small molecules such as CO2, N2, H2, N2O, SO2 and SF6 for energy-efficient transformations. We also develop new catalysts for the utilization of renewables in chemical synthesis.

Students and post-doctoral researchers will gain synthetic skills in inorganic, organometallic and organic synthesis (ligand design), and will become experts in air/moisture sensitive manipulations (Schlenk and dry-box techniques). We employ a range of characterization techniques: Single-crystal X-ray Diffraction Analysis, Multinuclear NMR Spectroscopy, Mass Spectrometry, Cyclic Voltammetry as well as FT-IR and UV-Vis Spectroscopy.
