All students of the Department of Biology are together called
"Fachschaft".
But what is usually meant by that term is the Fachschaftsvertretung (student council).
The council is elected every year by all students of the department.
The council members represent the student body and take part in different committees. Their tasks include amongst others:
Student advisory service
Loaning of scripts and tests
Committees and Commissions
