Postdoctoral/Research Associate in the Study of Mitochondrial Dynamics
    Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in

    (full time, salary level E 13 TV-L)

The position is available to start on 1 July 2020 or later. Currently, the regular full employment time is 39 hours and 50 minutes per week. The position is available for 3 years. All posts can, as a rule, also be filled as part-time positions if there are no compelling work-related reasons against doing so.

The projects associated with this position will analyze the molecular functions of different myosins, actin-based molecular motors, in mitochondrial dynamics regulating cell proliferation, differentiation and migration. Previous experience in either advanced methods of fluorescence microscopy (light sheet, super-resolution), transmission electron microscopy, the analysis of transgenic mice or mitochondrial dynamics at the cellular and molecular levels are required. We are a dynamic and well equipped group. Candidates should hold a PhD degree in either biology, biophysics or physical chemistry and be highly motivated and able to advance a research project autonomously. The position is well suited for candidates that have just completed their PhD. An adequate contribution to the teaching obligations of the group is expected.

The University of Münster is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to increasing the proportion of women academics. Consequently, we actively encourage applications by women. Female candidates with equivalent qualifications and academic achievements will be preferentially considered within the framework of the legal possibilities. We also welcome applications from candidates with severe disabilities. Disabled candidates with equivalent qualifications will be preferentially considered.

Send a written application including a CV, a short description of previous scientific experience and addresses for 2-3 referees by 15 May 2020 to:
