Abstract:

We derive an exact inversion formula for the attenuated Radon transform. The formula is closely related to Novikov's inversion formula (see Novikov, An inversion formula for the attenuated X-ray transform, Preprint, Departement de Mathematique, Nantes, April 2000), but our derivation is completely different.
