Language course "Preparation for the DSH Examination"

To gain admission to a German-language degree programme at University of Münster, applicants without a German Abitur have to prove very good German language skills, usually at the DSH-2 level.

The Univerity of Münster offers prospective students the chance to improve their German language skills in intensive DaF courses (German as a Foreign Language) at the B1/B2 and C1 levels. The courses run for about six months (from January to July, and from August to January). The participation fee is currently 500 euros per semester. Because language course participants are enrolled at the university, they are also obliged to pay the regular semester fee.

The paid language course fees will be refunded to language course participants, who are enrolled in a study course at University of Münster after successfully passing the DSH exam, when they re-register for the 2nd semester.

The requirements for participating in a language course are:

  • a university entrance qualification
  • proof of German language competence at the B1 level (in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). We accept the following certificates as proof:
    • Telc Deutsch B1

    • Goethe Zertifikat B1
    • onSET B1
