Lasker Medical Research Awards 2009
The Medical Research Awards will be offered in two categories in 2009: Basic and Clinical Medical Research.
Albert Lasker Basic Medical Research Award:
This Award honors scientists who have made fundamental investigations that open new areas of biomedical science.
Lasker-DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award:
This Award honors scientists whose contributions, directly or indirectly, have led in a pioneering way to a major improvement in the clinical management or treatment of patients.
Lasker-Koshland Special Achievement Award in Medical Science:
This Award honors scientists whose contributions to research are of unique magnitude, and whose professional career has engendered within the biomedical community the deepest feelings of awe and respect. Scientists who have previously won a Lasker Award are ineligible for this Award.
For all nominations, please provide a suggested short (30 words or less) citation that highlights the research for which you wish your nominee(s) to be recognized.
Nominations and all supporting materials must be received by the Foundations no later than February 2, 2009.
