Language courses
The University’s Language Centre offers German courses for international academics. The courses, which are geared towards target groups, comprise 52 lessons and are fee-based. The Foreign Languages Centre website contains more information on times, registration and costs.

Semester and holiday dates
In Germany the academic year is divided into two semesters. The winter semester officially begins on October 1. Examinations for the winter semester are held in the first two weeks of February. The summer semester officially begins on April 1, with examinations taking place at the end of July.

Doctors
Searching in a database will help you to find doctors and psychologists with foreign language skills in Münster. The database lists a large number of specialist doctors, as well as care providers and advice centres. In addition to addresses and telephone numbers you can also find information telling you who in the surgery or institution speaks the language you are looking for.

Food and drink
Münster offers a wide range of culinary delights. Fine Westphalian food is served in the numerous restaurants in the historic city centre.
