Certificate of freedom of movement (Freizügigkeitsbescheinigung) for EU nationals
Nationals of countries belonging to the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA) who wish to stay in Germany for longer than three months need a so-called Freizügigkeitsbescheinigung (freedom of movement certificate). In some cities this is issued directly by the Einwohnermeldeamt (registration office); in other cities it is issued by the Ausländerbehörde (Aliens Office) – in Münster by the Amt für Ausländerangelegenheiten.
