The Dual Career Service wants to know your professional aims and help you to find your feet in Münster. We will provide support for you in looking for vacancies that correspond to your profile. We organize contacts to employers and look for appropriate further training opportunities and useful internships or work placements. We agree every single step with you.

The Dual Career Philosophy


The Dual Career Service was set up as part of the certification process leading to the award of the title “family-friendly university”. With this service Münster University supports the professional development of spouses and partners who are also looking to take on new challenges. Active networking with internal and external cooperation partners ensures that there is a purposeful exchange of information and that valuable contacts are set up. This is a guarantee of quality in the help we offer.

The aim of the Dual Career Service

  • To attract professors, top academics and staff to high-level positions  
  • To promote the compatibility of work, partnership and family life  
  • To attract two sets of brains to Münster
  • To counter the lack of qualified personnel
