Application for Language Course: "Preparation for the DSH Examination"


The requirements for taking part in this language course are

  • a university entry qualification for the degree programme to be studied afterwards.
  • Bachelor graduates who intend to apply for a Master degree programme also need to fulfill all admission requirements for the Master degree programme that they wish to study afterwards 
  • and German language competence at level B1. We accept the following certificates as a proof of you language competence:
    • Telc  Deutsch B1
    • Deutsch-T est für Zuwanderer B1
    • Deutsch für den Beruf B1
    • Goethe Zertifikat B1
    • onDaF B1
    • DSD1 der KMK, Niveaustufe B1
    • Testdaf 3x3, one level below 3
    • A B1-certificate of the Lehrgebiet Daf of the University of Münster 

Language certificates from other universities or language schools have to contain information on the language course level (according to the GER), on course books used, on the duration of the course (number of hours) and the result achieved in the final exam. 

To take part in the language course, you must apply via the online applications portal of the University of Münster.

Deadlines: Please note that there are certain deadlines for applications:

Winter semester: from May 1 to May 31
Summer semester: from November 1 to November 30

When you have completed your online application, you should print it out twice. After filling out your online application, you will also receive a checklist and an applicants number. You will need these if you have any queries on the applications procedure.

Please send one signed printout of the online application to the University of Münster, together with the following documents:

  • Certified translation of your foreign school-leaving certificate with evidence of grades awarded
  • If relevant, a certified translation of evidence that you have successfully taken a university entrance examination 
  • Any available evidence of studies completed so far (transcripts, diplomas etc.)
  • B1 German language certificate
  • Complete CV without any gaps

The certificates mentioned above should be sent as officially certified copies to the University of Münster. Documents can be certified at:

  • Relevant embassies
  • Consulates
  • Authorities
  • Notaries

In the case of certificates issued in a foreign language you will also need to get an official German, English or French translation (likewise as an officially certified copy).

Important:
Applications which are incomplete at the deadline will be rejected by the Registrar`s Office.

Any admission granted by the Registrar`s Office involves only admission to a language course. After you have completed your language course you will again have to apply to be accepted for your course of study.
