Having a knowledge of German not only helps in everyday life, but is also necessary for studying at Münster University. You must have an adequate knowledge of German by the time you make your application. If you do not meet the language requirements, you can attend appropriate courses.

Before you can successfully embark on your studies, you must first apply for a place. For international students there are special application requirements. A basic distinction is made between two groups of applicants: applicants from Germany, EU countries and countries belonging to the European Economic Area – and applicants from countries not belonging to the EU.

Offers of advice and support

There are many advice centres at Münster University providing help both for students and for anyone interested in studying. The first place to contact for any questions relating to studies is the Student Advisory and Counselling Centre (ZSB), where course advisors give assistance on the contents of individual courses. The Registrar´s Office provides help on making applications, enrolling etc. The Teacher Training Centre offers advice for trainee teachers. International students should contact the International Office.
