Prof. Barbara Stollberg-Rilinger
Prof. Dr. Barbara Stollberg-Rilinger has been a member of the Münster University Council since March 2008. She was born in 1955 in Bergisch-Gladbach and studied history, art history and German at Cologne University, where she gained her PhD in 1985 and was made Professor of Modern History in 1994.
After teaching at Cologne she was appointed to a Professorship of Early Modern History at Münster University. She is the Deputy Chair of the Association of German Historians and in 2005 she received the Leibniz Prize from the German Research Foundation. She is involved in the Cluster of Excellence "Religion and Politics" at Münster University.
