Prof. Dr. Hans-Uwe Erichsen
Prof. Hans-Uwe Erichsen was born in 1934 in Flensburg and studied law at Kiel University, where he was awarded his PhD in 1963. He was made professor in 1969 at Münster University.
From 1970 to 1981 he was Professor of Public Law and European Law at Bochum University and then, until his retirement in 2000, at Münster University. From 1986 to 1990, he was Rector of Münster University and was then President of the University Rectors Conference until 1997 and President of the European Rectors Conference until 1999.
