General
The ZIV arranges the WWU’s mobile phone contracts and also provides support in this regard. The current DFN frame contract RV37539 which has been closed with the Telekom is financially attractive and used by numerous universities all over Germany. The contract particularly includes discounted connection charges, low prices for mobile devices and optionally discounted data allowances. Furthermore, calls made within the group of DFN telephone subscribers – which most German universities and research facilities belong to – are free of charge, regardless of whether calls are received on landline telephones or mobile devices.

Fees
The ZIV bears all costs arising from the basic fee offered by the contracting party for the basic tariff (currently Telekom BusinessProfi at the price of 8,09 € (incl. VAT) per month). This amount is also the portion of costs paid for by the ZIV in the case of costlier tariffs (e.g. Apple iPhone tariffs).
Data connections
Mobile broadband contracts closed are not subsidised and have to be paid for fully by each department. The same applies to data tariffs added to the basic tariff optionally. However, expanding the basic contract to include an option for data allowances is possible.
Mobile phones
Expenses arising from acquiring mobile radio end devices have to be paid for by departments using the devices.
Billing
If costs extending the basic fee arise, they will be settled via transfer from the billing object indicated. In its resolution (passed on 08.12.2011) the rectorate points out explicitly that bills are each addressed to those directors of a department who approved applications for the use of company mobile phones, and that these directors are liable for arising expences.

Application
WWU employees can apply for a company mobile phone if their department’s director confirms its official necessity. To request a company mobile phone you have to complete the application form [de] which gathers information on the billing object, your favoured end devices and your favoured tariff options. End devices
With the exeption of BlackBerry devices, all end devices which can be obtained at the Telekom-Onlineshop are generally available. Information on the end devices' valid prices will be provided on request. Please note that specific tariff options apply to the Apple iPhone.

Tariff options
The DFN frame contract RV37539 closed with the Telekom constitutes the basis of all contracts and already includes free calls within the WWU and within the group of DFN telephone subscribers (landline and mobile service) - which most German universities and research facilities belong to. The following fees are valid for the standard tariff BusinessProfi*:

The option HandyFlat is particularly recommendable, as it includes an unlimited data allowance at the price of 5,02 € per month.
