Lost your username
If you lost your username but still know your password, please try to log in below and give your matrikel number, your e-mail address, your first and last name, or, if need be, your bank account for Print&Pay in place of the username. Use this form also if you suspect problems like a too old password or an expired account or alike.

If you have enabled your cellular phone number for this purpose in our user portal MyZIV, your can request further information and an SMS with a code number for setting a new password here. To do so, please enter your username (matrikel number, e-mail-address etc. can be given, too):
Otherwise, you can get a new password as follows:

Personally
You visit our service counter (Einsteinstraße 60) in person and present your student legitimation or your identity card. In this case a new password is set immediately and given to you, that password is valid immediately.

By personally signed letter
You ask us by a letter that must be personally signed (thus no Fax) to set a new password, and you write the password that you want to be set in that letter. Enclose a copy of your identity card and send the letter in a closed envelope by postal mail, inhouse mail or courier to the following address:

Requests for new passwords by other means (by phone, by fax, or by unsigned or unsufficiently signed e-mail) cannot be accepted for security reasons. If you cannot apply online for courses in time due to the missing password, please contact the docent or the institute responsible for the course by phone.
