Our technical staff is responsible for the following areas:
- Planning, installation and maintenance of all audio and video systems of the lecture halls
There are particularly complex systems in all of the lecture halls that have to fulfil the most diverse requirements of both lecturers and events (conventions and congresses).
- Technical support of all conventions, congresses and events at the university
With 100 events annually, direct support by the staff of the ZIV is necessary to guarantee the acoustic irradiation of the lecture halls, the conduct of audio and video recordings and the broadcast to further premises. This often requires a heavy and particularly flexible workload, taking into account that various congresses such as the conference on physics have about 4,000 participants.
Apart from big events, guaranteeing smooth functioning of daily, technically supported lectures is one of our responsibilities. Aside from the standard public address system, almost all rooms are equipped with wireless microphone systems, projectors, DVD players, CRESTRON controls etc.
