I cannot remember my password / userID.
The easiest way to reset a forgotten password is our mTAN procedure. For this procedure you must first register on MeinZIV.
If you have forgotten your password, then you get a reset-code by SMS to a previously stored phone number (instructions in german).
If you cannot remember your userID but do remember your password, please try to log yourself in under Mein ZIV, by typing in your registration number or your full name instead of your userID. If this does not work, please contact our help desk. A new password can only be obtained in person at our help desk at the ZIV (ID required) or in written form at our user administration at Einsteinstraße 60. Please let us know in your writing, what your new password should b, because we will not respond to your letter.

You can change your password(s) under Mein ZIV.We recommend to chance the password every 3 month.
How to renew my userID when it has expired or is about to expire?
To apply for or renew access authorisation, please use form U. User authorisation includes access to the internet and an e-mail address as well as access to dial-up and to the computers of the ZIV. Students` userIDs are normally renewed automatically.
