Who we are
The ZIV is the Centre for Applied Information Technology in the shared cooperative supply system for information processing of Muenster University (WWU). We are a service and competence centre for all matters of information processing (IP) infrastructure and communication as well as media technology and the communication of media competence.What we want
- We work in cooperation with the decentralized IP-supply units and IKM-association (information, communication, media) with the university library and the university administration.
- We inform and support our users intelligibly and do our best to meet their individual needs and promote their IT-competence.
- In cooperation with committees of Muenster University we develop concepts for the strategic development of information processing and support the university management.
- We offer high-quality academic training oriented at the objectives and curricula of Muenster University and pass on our knowledge in various professional courses.
- In addition to the university services, we provide communication systems for the university clinic and the networking of the academic location of Muenster.
- We cooperate actively with other university IT-centres in NRW all over Germany as well as bilaterally within the framework of the respective organizations.
