Virtualization
We are currently replacing many of the more than 300 older servers operated by the ZIV by virtual machines on newer, energy-saving virtualization-servers. Furthermore, we are also consolidating and virtualizing the central storage systems. All this facilitates a much more energy-efficient operation of the service-infrastructure provided by the ZIV.
