Friday, 15.03.2024 from 10.45 am to 4.30 pm at the Institute for Sport and Excercise Sciences at the University of Münster (Horstmarer Landweg 68b, 48149 Münster)

Promoting development through movement, play and sport has been a guiding principle of school sport in NRW for over 20 years. In addition to opening up the culture of sport, the aim is to encourage adolescents in their personal development. But is this equally successful for all pupils? Does school sport also reach girls and boys with emotional, social and mental support needs? In the run-up to the Special Olympics NRW, which will take place in Münster in May 2024, we want to explore these questions at a symposium. At the same time, we would like to discuss the new special educational needs course in Münster. Everyone involved in promoting the development of children and young people in sport is invited: teachers from schools and universities, nurseries and psychomotricity, sports clubs and all-day activities. Together we want to enter into a lively dialog between theory and practice.
