Educational background
I studied Sport Science and Mathematic as main subjects, Pedagogy and Sociology as minor subjects at the Christian Albrechts-University of Kiel (Germany, 1988-1995). From 1995-1998 I worked as a Researcher at the Department of Sport Pedagogy (Prof. Dr. Dietrich Kurz) at the University of Bielefeld (Germany). My doctoral thesis “Social Support and Exercise in Youth” was completed in 1999.
Since 1999 I am working as a scientific Assistant at the Department of Sport Psychology (Prof. Dr. Bernd Strauß) at the Westfaelische-Wilhelms-University of Muenster.
From 2001 until 2004 I was editorial assistant for the German Journal of Sport Psychology
