born. 1959; diploma in Psychology 1987 (University of Kiel); 1992 PhD in Psychology (University of Kiel); 1987 – 1991 graduate student at the Faculty of Sport Science (University of Kiel); 1992-1998 assistant professor at the University of Kiel; since 1998 Full Professor for Sport Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology and Sport Science of the University of Muenster. Special research interests: social processes in sports, spectators (e.g., home advantage), expertise in sports (e.g., problem-solving, perception and performance), diagnostics (e.g., IRT models).
