Short Curriculum Vitae
I was born 1982 in Paderborn. From 2001 to 2007 I studied Psychology at the University of Münster with final degree diploma. Thesis on the topic: „Focus of attention and its influence on running economy of skilled runners“. I studied abroad in Australia from 2005-2006 at the Griffith University. In 2008 I received the asp-Studienpreis (1st) for best sport psychological masters thesis awarded by the German Association of Sport Psychology (asp).
Since August 2007 I am a PhD student (supervised by Prof. Bernd Strauß, University of Münster and Prof. Norbert Hagemann, University of Kassel.) From 2008-2010, I received a PhD bursary from the German National Academic Foundation. The topic of my PhD was Choking under Pressure, I finished my PhD in September, 2011. Since 2011 I work as a scientific assistant at the Department of Sport Psychology, Institute for Sport Science, University of Münster.
I am competing in triathlon Ironman races with a professional licence since 2006 and reached several top-10 results.
