Research interests:
Many sport situations call for a differentiated perception of an opponent’s motor behaviour. I am interested in the underlying principles of skilful perception and training possibilities of visual perception in sport. In a present research project from the German Research Foundation I am investigating along with Dirk Büsch the interaction of perceptual and motor processes in the development of a sport specific expertise. Additional research interests are:

  • Strategic competence of team coaches
  • Judgment biases in refereeing
  • Implicit Attitudes
  • Laterality in sport
  • Unconscious information processing
