News

Application deadline for 2014: November 29th, 2013

The University of Münster allocates scholarships and travel grants to promote outstanding young researchers in their last year of PhD research. The number of scholarships and travel grants depends on the funds available for the promotion of doctoral research as determined by the university's budget plan.

If you fulfill the requirements according to the guidelines of July 28, 2011, scholarships may be granted for a maximum of the final twelve months of your doctoral research. The English version of the guidelines has been provided for a better understanding. Legally binding is only the German version, "Richtlinien vom 28. Juli 2011".

In order to be eligible for funding, you need to be enrolled as a doctoral student at the University of Münster. Your supervisor needs to be a professor or a reader who has qualified as professor (Privatdozent) at the University of Münster. You must have started your doctoral studies and you need to demonstrate that you will be able to finish your studies with outstanding results within the duration of your scholarship.

The scholarship grant amounts to € 1.000 per month.

The funding period starts on April 1st, 2013.
