Two fully-funded PhD studentships and One Postdoctoral Research Fellowship
Two fully-funded PhD studentships and one Postdoctoral Research Fellowship will be funded by the Centre for Medieval Literature (CML) at the University of York. The PhD studentships (EU/Home tuition fees + stipend currently £13,590 per annum) are tenable for three years from 8 October 2012. The Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (£29,249-£30,122 per annum) is tenable for three years from 1 October 2012. The CML aims to contribute to the development of new integrated European models for the study of medieval literature from Scandinavia to the Middle East. CML's research focues in three areas: the interface between sacred and/or vernacular languages, the rise of fiction, and canonization.
