Attention! Important change!

Because of stuctural fire protection requirements the University main building will not be available during March 2008.

Therefore the International Polar meeting will take place in the Fürstenberghaus (detailed map), Am Domplatz 20-22, 48143 Münster. The  city map indicates the Fürstenberghaus at No. 3. It is situated beside the cathedral of Münster.

You need a 5 minutes walk from the university main building (Schloss) to the Fürstenberghaus.

Excursions

Wednesday afternoon (March, 12, 2008) three excursions will be offered. The registration and the payment shall preferentially be carried out through the meeting’s web site (registration). Only exceptionally registration will be accepted by receipt of both, an informal letter and the fee.

Münster – Tour of old town

Guideance:                StattReisen
Meeting point:          Fürstenberghaus, entrance hall on the first floor
Time:                       14:00 - 15:30  (90 minutes)
Participants:              no limitation of number
Fee:                         5 Euro  (Caused by the number of registrations the price has
                               decreased.   The overpaid costs will be reimbursed when
                               registrating).
                               28 Euro including castle visit and  conference dinner

* The fee also covers the visit of the castle of Annette von Droste-Hülshoff and the conference dinner (without drinks).
Subsequent to the excursions A, B und C busses will take the participants to Havixbeck, where we will have a guided tour of the castle of Droste-Hülshoff. Afterwards we will be driven to a local brewery for the conference dinner.
