Current research
I joined the group of Professor De Cola as a post-doctoral research in March 2009. I am involved in the synthesis, characterization and study of the luminescent properties of new Pt(II) and Ir(III) complexes.
Background and research interests
I carried out my PhD studies in the University of Murcia under the supervision of Prof. Jose Vicente Soler working in the synthesis, reactivity and structural characterization of nitroarylplatinum complexes. In the meanwhile, I did two short stays at the University of York under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Robin Perutz and Dr. Simon B. Ducket where I came into contact with both the photochemistry and the NMR spectroscopy fields. After my PhD, I worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a project manager.
