Christine Burgess has recently received a one year postdoctoral fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to research the photochemical reduction of carbon dioxide. The proposed research will combine a light harvesting element and a catalyst into one structure to efficiently use light energy to drive a thermodynamically uphill reaction. Christine received her B.S. in chemistry from Lebanon Valley College and her Ph.D. in chemistry and materials from Princeton University under the supervision of Professor Andrew Bocarsly.
