Perfect Actions and Chiral Symmetry on the
Lattice
Chiral symmetry is the key to understand the physics of low energy hadrons.
Lattice regularization breaks chiral symmetry under very general conditions
(NO-GO), which creates painful difficulties in the study of QCD and elsewhere.
The seminar is about the story of the 17 years old NO-GO theorem ending
with recent developments on how to overcome it. In the story perfect actions
also play an important role.
