Preparation Course Physics The Prep Course intends to prepare the first-year students of the study-courses physics, geophysics, mathematics and informatics with the minor subject physics (bachelor) for the attendance of the freshman students lecture physics I. This course aims to equalize the different state of knowledge with a combination of lectures and supervised exercises.The subjects taught cover the subject area of the Sekundarstufe II including the necessary mathematical methods for physics.

LSF - QISPOS
By mean of the LSF - QISPOS portal students register for lectures and seminars. The registration and deregistration to the study and examination performance also takes place here.
International Field Course
As part of their studies the prospective geophysicists attend the "International Field Course". This week's exkursion is offered in cooperation with two other institutes in Paris (F) and Edinbourgh (GB) and takes alternately place in Germany, Britain or France. The aim of this course is to make students acquant with a variety of measurement methods, techniques and equipment. By the international composition of the class group contact to foreign students will be supported.
