Schedule for the 1st semester

Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) in Physics, double bachelor’s (2FB) with Physics

An example schedule for the  first semester of the Bachelor of Science program in Physics is shown below. The entries for the tutorials are example entries, i. e. other times are also offered and can be viewed in the course overview or on the respective course websites.

Of course, you don’t have to take all the minors (computer science, chemistry, geophysics etc.) – you only have to pick one. The schedule is equally valid for people in a double bachelor’s (2FB) program; however, they only have to take Physics I (with corresponding tutorials), see notes. Unfortunately, we don’t have schedules for all possible subject combinations in store ;-)

The course overview as well as the respective official versions of the exam regulations and the curriculum can be found here.

Notes

  • [1] not for double bachelor’s (2FB)
  • [2] for B. Sc. with interdisciplinary studies in Chemistry (module Chemistry for Physicists). Additionally, the “theoretical tutorials in preparation of the chemical practical course” have to be attended; they are offered at different dates in small groups.
  • [3] for B. Sc. with interdisciplinary studies in Computer Science (module Introduction to Computer Science). The tutorials for Computer Science I take place in small groups on miscellaneous dates on Thursdays and Fridays.
  • [4] for B. Sc. with interdisciplinary studies in Geophysics (module Geophysics). The dates for the tutorials are adjusted in the lecture to avoid collisions.

The schedules for the modules for interdisciplinary studies in Mathematics, Philosophy for Physicists, Theoretical Basics of Psychology, Business Administration, Economics and Spanish for Scientists (recommended for students who want to take part in the double degree program with Sevilla) as well as German as a Foreign Language (only for foreign students) are not presented here because the possibilities of choice in those subjects is larger and there is a number of collisions. Using the course overview, the schedule can be adjusted according to one’s interests. You can find all you need to know about minor subjects (Interdisciplinary Studies) on our corresponding info page.
