Experimental setup for polarization switching experiments

Experimenteller Aufbau - Experimental setup

The VCSEL is mounted on a copper-support. The temperature is regulated by a Peltier element and a feedback system. The polarization direction to be analyzed is selected by a Fresnel-rhomb and a Wollaston-prism. The spectrum of the laser light is measured by a scanning Fabry-Perot-interferometer and a monochromator. The nearfield is analyzed by a CCD-camera. A second camera and a holographic grating allow frequency selective measurements of the nearfield components, for example higher transversal modes.
