The special lecture "Dynamics of magnetic thin films and nanostructures" is aimed at students of physics (bachelor / master / diploma) in the 6th or 8 Semester. After a brief introduction to ferromagnetism, the lecture deals with equations of motion describing the dynamics in magnetic systems. The foundations of the ferromagnetic resonance and spin waves in thin films and magnetic phenomena in nanostructures are a focus of the lecture. Applications of magnetic nanostructures in modern technology are discussed. Furthermore, recent magneto-optical methods will be discussed. Finally, nonlinear effects in magnetic systems are treated.
