Content:

From simple electronic circuits general concepts of measurement technology and communications and storage information technology are discussed. This includes in particular the systematic use of Fourier methods and systems theoretical approaches. Basic elements of the transition to digital techniques are presented and correlation methods discussed in various examples. With a detailed treatment of magnetic properties of layered systems we switch to magnetic storage elements which are at focus in the second half of the semester at.
