Research Project
The influence of a stimulating environment on cognition, emotion and behaviour of serotonin transporter knockout mice.
Against the background that some individuals might be more sensitive to adversity as well as to enriching experiences because of their genetic make up, it is planned to investigate whether the serotonin transporter gene rather acts as a ‘plasticity gene’ than only acting as a risk allele for psychopathology.
