Invitation: Kick-off event of the project KompostBioPlast@Home on March 31

On March 31, the kick-off event for the Citizen Science project "KompoBioPlast@Home?" will take place. In this project, citizens can contribute to research on plastic-degrading microorganisms. For this purpose, various material samples will be distributed, especially the biobased plastic PLA (polylactic acid), which will then be incubated in the home compost of interested citizens. Interesting samples can then be further investigated in the working group of ZIN member Prof. Bodo Philipp.

Interested citizens are cordially invited to the kick-off event on March 31 at 5 pm at the WWU Münster. Registration is requested by March 30. Please write to the following address to register or if you would like to participate in the project but do not have time on March 31: bioplast@uni-muenster.de.

The project is supported by the Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin. More information can be obtained at bioplast@uni-muenster.de.
