Application of high spatial resolution in-situ techniques to characterize and analyze earth and planetary materials:
- Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) of complex terrestrial and meteoritic samples
- Site-specific focused ion beam (FIB) preparation of earth and planetary materials
- Nano-Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (NanoSIMS) analysis of meteorites and interplanetary dust particles
- Major element analysis of meteoritic stardust grains by Auger Nanoprobe (in cooperation with the Laboratory for Space Sciences, St. Louis)
- Preparation of meteoritic stardust grains by the Focused Ion Beam (FIB) technique for TEM
- Confocal Synchrotron X-Ray Fluorescence analysis of diamond inclusions and meteoritic stardust grains (ESRF, Grenoble)
- Micro-Raman spectroscopy of diamond inclusions
