Description Die Vorlesung diskutiert die Aufgaben, Arbeitsweise und Struktur klassischer monolithischer wie auch moderner verteilter Betriebssysteme anhand der zugrundeliegenden Konzepte sowie an Beispielen aktuell eingesetzter Systeme. Neben den Grundlagen (Prozessbegriff, Parallelität, Interaktion und Synchronisation, Deadlocks) werden Verfahren zur Ressourcen-Verwaltung, die Organisation des Zugriffs auf Speicherhierarchien, die Realisierung von Dateisystemen (lokal und verteilt) sowie Zugriffsschutz und Sicherheit besprochen.
