Andreas was born 1979 in Tübingen, Germany. He studied communication, sociology, and philosophy at the LMU in Munich. From 2007 to 2010 he worked as Research Assistant and PhD student at the Department of Media and Communication (IfKW) at LMU Munich. At the Department of Communication at WWU Münster, Andreas worked as Researcher in Lead of the BMBF funded project "From Observation to Influence. Mediatized Constellations of Science, Media and Politics in Relation to Scientific Disciplinary Cultures" (Principal Investigator: Prof. Dr. Bernd Blöbaum) (2010-2013), Research Assistant (2014-2016), Principal Investigator of the DFG funded project "Mediatization of Organizations: A Comparison of the Intensity and Quality of Adaptations to the Logic of Public Attention" (2016-2021), Substitute Professor (2020-2021) and Senior Researcher (2021-2022). Andreas was head of the editorial office of the DGPuK and ICA Affiliate Journal Studies in Communication and Media (2014-2022). Since April 2022 he is working as Scientific Director of the BMBF funded project "Transfer Unit Science Communication" at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities. As Adjunct Lecturer, Andreas continues to teach and supervise theses at the Department of Communication.
