Installing Sophos Antivirus Home for Windows

• Account creation and download

  1. Create a user account

  please click on the following link: https://home.sophos.com/en-us/employee/Hochschulen-NRW.aspx
  
  In order to create your account you will need your university email address. Only email addresses with @uni-muenster.de are accepted.
   

  

  2. open your email account

  In your email account you will now find a mail from Sophos. This contains your personal voucher code, which is needed to activate the premium version.
  Click on "Create account".
   

  

  3. account creation

  Please enter your name and your email address of the University of Münster as shown on the screenshot. In the 4th field please enter a password of your choice.
  In the lowest field your voucher code should have been taken from the e-mail. Otherwise you have to enter it here.
  
  Then, please klick on "create accout" and confirm the incoming mail in your mailbox by clicking on "confirm email adress".

  

  4. Download installation programm

  Please click on the installer to download the installation. (If only one selection is given, your operating system has been detected automatically).

  

• Sophos installation

  1. Start the installation

  Please open the downloaded installation file.
   

  

  2. Installation

  Click on "Install" to perform the installation.
  
  Wait, until the installation progress is done.
   

  

  Click „Finish“ to end the installation progress. Now you can use Sophos Antivirus.
