IFGI students receive the 2016 Esri Development Center International Student of the Year Award
Aleksandr Shirokov and Dominik Schlarmann receive the 2016 Esri Development Center (EDC) International Student of the Year Award.
Aleksandr has been awarded the prize for his project “Gesture-Based Interactions with Esri Story Maps in Context of Public Places“, and Dominik for his Project “Geofenced Location-Based Services for eParticipation“.
Each year, all EDCs worldwide nominate student candidates who have developed innovative software solutions applying or extending Esri´s ArcGIS platform. A committee of Esri staff members selects the winning project, and has this year chosen two students from ifgi for recognition as the Esri Development Center International Students of the Year.
The award includes an invitation to the Esri User Conference and Education GIS Conference in San Diego, CA this June. There the two students will receive their awards during the ”Special Achievements in GIS Awards Ceremony”.
