Using a high precision Trimble tacheometer and a 360° prism on board the ifgiCopter (type MK XL) it has been achieved to record a continuous trajectory of the UAF flight accurate to the millimeter without any GPS-signal. This approach enables future measurement techniques for positioning UAS platform in areas without GPS coverage or in combination with traditional surveying techniques.
