Mentale Gesundheit, religiöse Pluralität und kulturelle Modelle des Politischen
("Madness and Mental Health in India: Patients between sacred/healing places and psychiatry")

(Research trip 2008, Förderung durch die Fritz-Thyssen-Stiftung)

Topics of research are the relations between traditional forms of treatment of mental illnesses and modern psychiatry in India. In the main focus are social and cultural experiences of "Craziness", respectively mental illness out of the perspective of patients and their realtives.
