University of Münster

With close to 40,000 students from approx. 100 different nationalities, WWU Münster University is one of the largest and most diversified universities in Germany, with strong and closely interacting faculties in the natural and life sciences.

WWU is not a campus university; instead, the different faculties and institutes are spread all over town so that the university truly becomes an integral part of the city. WWU offers ca. 250 courses in more than 110 subjects, from undergraduate Bachelor courses to graduate Master courses up to doctoral programs. All study programs are carrying accreditation seals of reputed accreditation agencies, and they are subject to regular national and international evaluation.

The study programs of the Faculty of Biology – as the only ones in natural or life sciences in all of Germany – won the prestigious best practice award “Reform-Studiengang” of the “Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft”, the business community’s innovation agency for the German science system.

Furthermore, WWU Münster University cooperates closely with other universities and research centres in academia and industry in various different areas, both nationally and internationally.
