Graduate Schools
During graduation at the Department of Biology we offer an integrative and international education. Participants will independently work on a research project within a current field of modern life sciences and can either apply through one of the existing graduate schools or directly through a local research group.

Characteristics of graduation at the Department of Biology:
- experimental research project within a current field of modern life sciences; topics may be chosen from a multitude of work groups at the Departments of Biology, Medicine, Chemistry and Pharmacy, and Physics as well as at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine.
- mentoring (supervision) by a graduation committee of three professors
- graduation-accompanying program teaching soft skills as well as professional competences
Requirements
- Master's degree (or Diploma-degree) in life sciences or biosciences (other degrees may require the participation in modules of the Master's program)

The registration takes place a the graduate examination office (Promotionsprüfungsamt)
