Bible Museum Münster at the University of Münster
The museum uses original exhibits to explain the history of the Bible from its manuscript beginnings up to today.
The main focus topics and specialities of our museum are:
- the Greek New Testament in its manuscript tradition and prints
from the 16th century up to today
- manuscripts and prints of the Bible in Latin
- the Bible in German, especially the translation by Luther
- modern Bible translations
- Bible illustrations
- an accurate replica of the Gutenberg printing press
Opening hours:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Thursday 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Saturday 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
The museum remains closed on monday, sunday and public holidays.
