THE SPRACHPRAXIS TEAM, UNIVERSITY OF MÜNSTER, warmly invites interested lecturers to participate in a day of exchanging ideas and experience in teaching practical language classes at university level. Download flyer

  • * * * CALL FOR POSTERS * * *

The idea of our poster gallery is for participants to obtain an overview of language practice at other universities (organizational aspects, concepts, content of the classes/areas of language competence targeted). Such insights are not only hard to get, but they can also provide valuable suggestions for improvement that could be implemented when rethinking and restructuring individual seminars or entire courses of study in reaccreditation processes. In order for our poster gallery to be successful, we would like the representatives from each university to prepare and bring a poster (size A2) providing the following information:

    • Name of university.
    • Degree courses offered; approx. number of students per year in BA / MA programmes.
    • Number of staff members teaching practical language classes (if possible: how many of those are permanent?)
    • Number of hours (SWS)/credit points of compulsory practical language courses; is there mandatory attendance?
    • List of courses offered; brief description/overview of goals, course content, group sizes, assessment, materials.

These points are simply to help you. Please feel free to add any more information that you deem relevant or leave out aspects that you deem irrelevant. Also, this is not an art competition, so do not worry too much about the layout and design of the poster – we are more interested in content. Download as PDF
