Round table on patents

The Round Table serves as an internal information platform enabling exchanges on strategy development and offering subject-specific advice. Its focus is, in addition to continuously promoting internal cross-departmental networking, the focus of the Round Table’s work is on the search for an effective, high-quality patent management system for WWU.  At the Round Table – so far not institutionalized – experience is brought together and additional expertise brought in by the university’s deputy rector for research, the chancellor, the university’s legal officer, the patents officer as well as academics from WWU and the university clinic who have experience of, and are actively involved in, patents. In this way, decision-makers at WWU are provided with ideas for developing an overall patent strategy for the university.
