Desarollo de Programa para Líderes en Transferencia Tecnológica/
Entwicklung eines Programms für Führungskräfte im Forschungstransfer

AFO is the coordinating institution of the international project “d-PoLiTaTE”, whose aim is to create and establish an innovative network of European and Latin American universities.  The qualitative advancement of higher education in Latin America as well as the professional training of academics and experts, who can help to solve the social, political and economic problems of their regions, are two core objectives of this project. With an implementation period of three years (2011–2014), d-PoLiTaTE is being co-funded by the European Commission and forms an integral part of the ALFA III program (América Latina – Formación Académica/ Latin America – academic education). Besides the Fachhochschule Münster, six universities from Spanish-speaking countries belong to the group of project associates (Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Bolivia and Spain).

With regards to its contents, the project’s focus areas concentrate on the development of a leadership program within the area of research transfer in Latin America and Europe, the inspiration of learning processes and in doing so, the deepening of the reciprocal relationships. This primarily includes an analysis of the status quo of research transfer in the participating institutions and their specific experiences with and knowledge of the regions. Successful strategies and activities shall be documented in order to support the future formation of research transfer specialists. A final joint publication shall then record the findings and results to safeguard the project’s continuation and a sustainable impact.
